Calvary's Stained Glass

The Left Window The Right Window

The stained glass windows at the front of the church were designed and crafted by Pastor David Reim in 1996-1997, before he moved to British Columbia to become the CLC Missionary to Canada.

The Right Window pictures the Means of Grace, the Gospel in Word and Sacrament. At the top you see the Lord's Supper depicted with the bread and the wine. Below that, of course, is the Word, and below that, the flowing water pictures Baptism.

In the lower panel you see the Alpha and the Omega, representing Christ, who is the Beginning and the End.

The Left Window pictures Christ, the Lamb of God, who offered Himself on the cross. Below the Lamb, you see a dove, representing the Holy Spirit, Who descended upon Christ at His Baptism, and Whom Christ poured out upon His Church at Pentecost. Below that you see the empty tomb and the lilies, representing Christ's Resurrection, which proves our resurrection at the Last Day as well.

In the lower panel is the symbol for the Trinity.
